LESSON OPTIONS
The Farm is a complete and dynamic 11,000 square foot training facility that utilizes a multi-faceted, interdisciplinary format in its training of baseball and softball athletes.
Lessons at The Farm are designed specifically for the individual baseball athlete and are custom-fitted to provide the most personal and comprehensive training for each and every player enrolled. Our skill development programs go beyond just “position-specific” training, assigning each individual athlete with their very own, personally-designed training regimen based upon the athlete’s initial body and mobility assessment and baseball skill evaluation.
Baseball/Softball athletes who train at The Farm will experience the most dynamic baseball skills training in the area, whether it is in the form of private, one-on-one instruction, or through some of our more comprehensive training offerings. Our advanced training programs offer every athlete to be trained according to the specific demands and responsibilities of their individual baseball positions on the diamond.
With a fundamental understanding of human and sport kinetics, our instructional staff (lead by Director of Player Skill Development, Mike Freire) will educate Farm athletes on not only the “how” but the “why” of mechanical motion. Players will be taught how to generate “body force” and will learn how to hit, throw and field (as well as perform any athletic motion) with athletic efficiency - "from the ground up."
Please see the list of our current skills training offerings below. For more information, please contact Coach Ben Bills via email at info@thefarmbpi.com / BenBills@thefarmbpi.com or text 717-676-1408, and check out our lesson options below.
Private Lessons
The Farm provides private hitting, pitching, fielding, and catching lessons. Our private instructional programs teach:
- Strength & body control
- Physics & biomechanics of the professional baseball swing
- Injury-free throwing
- Pitching with the body, not just the arm
- Position-specific defensive training
- Creating the game-changing catcher
In addition to mechanical teaching, we break down the philosophies and mental strategies of the game covering topics, such as:
- Defensive positioning and responsibilities
- Pop-up and fly ball hierarchy
- On-deck preparation for the hitter
- Dugout work and adjustment making for the smart baseball player
If a player is to succeed at higher levels of play, proper mechanics must be continually reinforced until they become muscle memory. Our training is one of the most unique and dynamic Elite Baseball Skill Development programs in the region
Small Group Training
The Farm Baseball Performance Institute is excited to introduce an entirely new and affordable way for you to develop into the best hitter in your lineup!
For the past several years, The Farm’s Coach Mike Freire has been touting the benefits of small group instruction and more importantly, the results that it produces.
Mike found that there are 4 basic principles to learning and perfecting an athletic skill, specifically the baseball swing. These principles are:
- Elite-level instruction
- Consistent, weekly training
- A competitive environment with like-minded players
- Proper breaks/rest in-between bouts of intense activity
Our experience has shown that there are tremendous benefits to small group training that are simply not captured in private, one-on-one instruction. In addition to these benefits, enrolling in our Hitting Groups comes at a fraction of the cost of private lessons.
Consistent, weekly group training, under the tutelage of The Farm’s elite instructors will have you on the fast track to the most successful offensive season of your life!
Hitting Groups are capped at 5 players per class and will be offered in Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced formats. The Farm offers classes 6 days per week, Monday-Saturday at a variety of time slots. Enrollment in our Hitting Groups is available for purchase on a monthly basis.
